3 Left Backs to Replace Patrice Evra at Old Trafford

Manchester United have lost Patrice Evra, who has reportedly agreed to join Serie A giants Juventus this summer, despite signing a one-year contract extension with the Red Devils in May.

Now Manchester United have Luke Shaw, who is expected to become the number one left back at Old Trafford for the upcoming Premier League season.

However, the 19-year-old has a lack of experience because of his teenage and could be dangerous for the club as manager Louis Van Gaal doesn’t want to take a risk after a poor performance shown by a club last season.

So here, we pick out top three candidates who could replace Patrice Evra in Premier League 2014-15 season.

1) Daley Blind

The Netherlands international will be a great addition to the Man United squad. He has had enjoyed a wonderful campaign at summer’s World Cup 2014 under Louis van Gaal that proves a good relationship with the manager.

Because of his impressive versatility, the 24-year-old can play either in centre back and in left back.

Blind was voted the Dutch player of the season this year, has two years remaining on his contract with Ajax and he could be available for around £12m.

2) Marcos Rojo

The Argentine has show his wonderful displays throughout the World Cup 2014, could also be a good candidate for the United left back position.

The 24-year-old has a wealth of experience in the Portuguese league with Club Sporting. The Reds Devils can shape him into the player that they want him to be. He can be on the centre of defence as well as on the flanks, So – Rojo could be the ideal replacement option this summer.

3) Alberto Moreno

The last candidate is Spanish international Alberto Moreno, who plays for Sevilla FC. He is likely to cost cheap than any other experienced left back around €20m.
