The Blues are reportedly struggling with their strikeforce as star players Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba have only netted four goals in this Premier League season.
In addition, Mourinho is unhappy with the performances of defence, as Chelsea’s lack of defence which cause the Blues to leak in goals. During the start of the season, defence was one of the most powerful strength of Chelsea and now it seems like the opposite.
The upcoming transfer window would be the perfect timing for Mourinho to bolster defence squad, as they conceded 17 goals in which 11 are away from Stamford Bridge in this term.
The Brazilian David Luiz, who is suffering from knee problem, has also restricted Chelsea’s defence.
To overcome this defence issue, Mourinho has set his sights on the 19-year-old defender, Kurt Zoumato to sign him in January.
The Frenchman, who plays for Saint-Etienne has played 51 games for Ligue 1 outfit since 2011.
