Spurs goalie Hugo Lloris hints Manchester United move?

The French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris – who plays for Tottenham Hotspur, has hinted he is open to a summer transfer move to Manchester United if David de Gea departs for Real Madrid.

Lloris, 28, is thought to be on Van Gaal’s summer priority as a potential replacement for De Gea, who still has one year left on his Old Trafford contract and Los Blancos keen on taking him back to Spanish capital.

Lloris said, as quoted by The Sun: “For the moment there is a goalkeeper at United and we are watchful of his situation. You have to keep a certain calm with all this. “If things should happen then they’ll happen naturally.”

The shot-stopper signed a new five-year contract last summer and recently expressed his desire to play Champions League football.

He told Sky Sports: “I am still a Spurs player. I have a contract until 2019, I think every player wants to play in the Champions League because it is the highest level. We work for that and I hope to play Champions League football again.”

Whilst Tottenham will keen to hold on to Lloris, who has made 99 league appearances across three seasons for Spurs since he arrived White Hart Lane from Lyon in 2012.
