Report: Manchester City close in on Monaco’s Fabinho

Manchester City are reportedly set to sign highly-rated full-back Fabinho from Ligue 1 side Monaco, according to Goal.

The 21-year-old, who had a successful campaign last season at Stade Louis II, missed just two games as Leonardo Jardim’s side secured Champions League football for another year.

It appears that City, who are in hunt for fresh, young talent in their first-team this summer are closing in on the signing of the Brazilian international, who had been in talks with Manchester United,few weeks ago, which now seems to be the case.

It has been also reported that the French club determined to hold out a figure in the region of £18 million for Fabinho, who made more than 60 appearances for the club over the last couple of seasons.
