It is now claimed that Pep Guardiola has secured his target – Ilkay Gundogan to Manchester City, as a playmaker who can boost the squad.
On Sunday, the German newspaper Bild confirm that Ilkay Gundogan has signed a five-year-contract with the Sky Blues from the Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund.
The German international is contracted to BVB until the end of the 2016/17 season and there has been number of rumours regarding his future move ever since he returned to action from long-term injury.

The 25-year-old midfielder has been heavily linked with the Etihad Stadium outfit for quite some time now and if the reports are true then Citizens have got their man from Signal Iduna Park as one of the players the City wants to bring in for next season.
The deal is believed to be worth £30 million until June 2021. However, Manchester City have not released any official statement.
