Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly stepped up their interest in signing Manchester United winger Ashley Young as the North London club look for an alternative to Crystal Palace’s Yannick Bolasie.
Spurs have been constantly linked with a move for Bolasie and report claims that the 26-year-old Congolese is interested in a switch to White Hart Lane this summer.
However, the Mirror suggests that Palace’s £25m price tag on the midfielder has forced Mauricio Pochettino to consider other players, and Ashley Young from Manchester United is a possible candidate.
The 30-year-old England international has enjoyed a successful return to form under Louis van Gaal last season, since the arrival of Memphis Depay at Old Trafford – Young could limit his opportunities this season.
Tottenham midfielders Andros Townsend and Aaron Lennon are both in news to be close to make a move away from White Hart Lane as the club looks to strengthen up its attacking options.
