Striker refused Juventus responsibility

Juventus striker Carlos Tevez has insisted the responsibility to win the title for this season should not be placed on his shoulder, following the recent 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League.

The Argentina international, Tevez has called upon his team-mates to help the team side-by-side back to their winning ways but he refused to take full responsibility to retain their league title.

The 29-year-old believes all team-mates are responsible to ensure the win more trophy rather than the single-player.

Tevez joined Serie A club, Juventus from English premier league side Manchester City in last season.

Tevez told to Corriere dello Sport, “I’m not the leader, they are all leaders here at Juventus, I want to help this team in any way, thus they can form a collective and grow.”

“If Juventus do not win, it is said we are in a crisis. This time we put in the right intensity, and when we play like that we can cause problems to anyone. After the game against Fiorentina we have given the right responses especially in the first half. We played as Conte always asks us to do.”

The former Manchester City ace added: “We are calm, the road is still very long, there are still many matches to play until the end of the season.”

Currently Juve are on the third-spot with five points behind leaders Roma, but Tevez feels it is too early to be worried about losing their crown to a rejuventated Giallorossi.
