Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling has completed his move to Manchester City, becomes the most expensive English player of all-time in a deal that could reach £49m.

The England international had been in news to make a move away from Anfield since March after he refused to sign a new contract with the Merseyside club.
The 20-years-old, who joined the Reds as a teenager from QPR five years ago, becomes Manuel Pellegrini’s first major capture of the summer.
City failed to defend their Premier League title last term, eventually finishing second with eight points behind the Holders Chelsea. Fans have been posting their thoughts on Twitter about this astronomical transfer.

£42M for Mesut Ozil. £49M for Raheem Sterling. That’s hilarious. Why are English players treated like endangered species?

At least now Raheem Sterling has gone to a club that has a great chance of winning something every season
