Teenage goalkeeper Raphael Spiegel has signed Hammers from Swiss side Grasshoppers for an undisclosed fee until 2015.
The 19-year-old has signed a three-year contract and will reach at the club this week.
West Ham have also brought midfielder Mohamed Diame, defender George McCartney and forward Modibo Maiga to his squad for the new campaign.
