Man Utd new signing Anthony Martial to wear No.9 shirt

Manchester United have confirmed that their new signing Anthony Martial will wear the number-9 shirt at Old Trafford following his £36 million move from AS Monaco on the transfer deadline day.

The 19-year-old becomes the most expensive teenager of all time in football history. He joined the Red Devils on a four-year contract with an option to extend his stay at Old Trafford for an extra year.

Now, it has been confirmed that the Frenchman has been handed the No.9 shirt after Radamel Falcao vacated it following his loan spell expired at the end of last season.

Martial has become Manchester United’s sixth summer recruit after Louis van Gaal snapped up Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, Darmian, Romero and Depay.
