Barcelona line up Chelsea raid

The Spanish champions Barcelona are reportedly planning a summer move for Chelsea‘s David Luiz, according to The Mirror.

However, the Catalan giants have been facing a two-window suspension ban for violating FIFA rules on the transfer of U-18 players. As a result, Barcelona couldn’t able to buy or sell in the coming year.

But Directors at the Camp Nou are quite confident that an appeal to FIFA will able to bring in some reinforcements this summer.

Blaugrana’s Vice President Manel Arroyo is said to be working on an appeal, which helps them to pursuit of the Brazil international.

The report suggests, £25m is enough to convince Jose Mourinho to sell the 21-year-old defender in the summer transfer window.

Luiz has been a key player in Chelsea’s Champions League and Europa League triumphs and he is considered as an ideal replacement option for Carles Puyol.
