Chelsea agree deal with Augsburg star Baba Rahman?

Chelsea have reportedly agreed a five-year deal with Ghanaian full-back Baba Rahman worth £27,000 a week, according to the Express.

The 21-year-old enjoyed a stellar season in the German League last term and has attract huge interest from the Premier League champions as a replacement for Filipe Luis, who is close to make a switch to Atletico Madrid.

However, the Blues are yet to agree a transfer fee with Augsburg, who doesn’t want to sell their star defender.

Augsburg chairman Jonas Hoffman recently insisted: “We do not need the Baba millions. We have a good, solid team here. I am very optimistic that Baba will continue his great performances with us.”

Serie A giants AS Roma are also interested in securing Baba’s services, but the west London club are set to take the lead in their chase for the talented full-back and will try to close out a deal with the Bundesliga outfit in the coming days.

Baba’s contract with the Bundesliga outfit runs until the summer of 2019.
