Everton and Spurs Locked in Transfer Tug-of-War for Juventus Star Timothy Weah
According to Foot Mercato, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur are set to go head-to-head in a summer transfer battle for Juventus’ dynamic forward Timothy Weah.
The 25-year-old American international has charted an impressive journey since emerging from PSG’s academy — making stops at Celtic and Lille before landing in Turin. A key figure in Lille’s stunning 2020/21 Ligue 1 title triumph, Weah also impressed at the 2022 World Cup, further boosting his reputation.

Since joining Juventus, Weah has clocked 45 appearances across all competitions, often filling in multiple roles, including an emergency stint at right-back. His tactical flexibility has turned heads across Europe — and now, both Everton and Spurs are circling.
Toffees Keen, but Spurs and Leipzig Lurk
Everton have reportedly made Weah a top target to inject pace and energy into their frontline. David Moyes, back at the helm, has always valued versatility in his squads — and Weah fits the mould perfectly. But while the American’s positional shifts at Juve were out of necessity, he’s expected to focus more on attacking duties at Goodison Park.
Tottenham, however, won’t go quietly. With Ange Postecoglou looking to reshape his wide options, Weah’s direct style and work rate make him a strong candidate.
Bundesliga giants RB Leipzig are also keeping tabs — meaning Juventus could spark a bidding war. With his valuation hovering around £14 million, it’s now up to the Friedkin Group to decide if they’ll back Moyes to get his man.
