Liverpool Planning January bid for Dutch Striker

Liverpool are reportedly planning a January move for Dutch striker Luc Castaignos, reports Metro.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is facing such a major blow in the form of striker Daniel Sturridge, who has been sidelined for eight weeks with an ankle injury.

Rodgers is desperate to fill this void space with highly-rated striker Luc Castaignos in January transfer window along with a number of targets that he has already identified.

The 21-year-old youngster is currently playing for FC Twente, where he scored seven goals in 14 matches. Therefore, he would be considered as a good back-up in the absence of Sturridge and it has been reported that Liverpool are willing to spend up to £6m for Castaignos.
