Liverpool plot blockbuster deal for Victor Osimhen
Liverpool are making waves in the transfer market once again – this time targeting Napoli’s prolific striker Victor Osimhen in a sensational swap deal, according to TEAMtalk.
The 26-year-old Nigerian has been on the radar of Europe’s elite, including Chelsea and Saudi Arabian clubs, but a move never materialised. Instead, he reignited his form at Galatasaray, bagging a remarkable 37 goals and 7 assists in 39 appearances last season.
Now back at Napoli, Osimhen is expected to move on, with Liverpool reportedly in advanced talks to bring him to Anfield. The Reds are said to be unwilling to trigger his £63 million release clause outright, but instead are proposing a blockbuster part-exchange deal involving Darwin Núñez and Federico Chiesa.

Núñez, who has struggled for consistency since his arrival, could be used as a makeweight, while Chiesa – hampered by injuries – is also expected to be offloaded after just one season in red.
Osimhen, known for his explosive pace, physicality, aerial prowess, and relentless work rate, seems tailor-made for the Premier League. He famously spearheaded Napoli’s charge to the 2022/23 Serie A title and could now become a key figure under Arne Slot’s evolving Liverpool project.
With Jeremie Frimpong already signed, and deals for Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez nearing completion, the Reds are not slowing down. Securing Osimhen would be a massive statement of intent – and potentially one of the most audacious moves of the summer.
