Liverpool winger on Real Madrid radar

The reigning European champions Real Madrid are reportedly plotting to launch a summer bid to sign Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling, according to the Mirror.

The La Liga giants have been monitoring the 19-year-old’s performance for some time, who scored nine goals in 33 appearances for the Reds last season and also played recent England’s World Cup matches.

Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is desperately looking to bring England international at the Bernabeu with a bid somewhere in the region of £25m this summer as reports suggested that the fitness of Cristiano Ronaldo concerns grow over following his latest knee injury at World Cup campaign.

However a number of clubs are said to be interested in Sterling’s services following his impressive display at World Cup 2014, he has three years left on his current contract and the recent reports emerged that the Premier League runners-up could offer the teenager an extension including increment on his current wages at Anfield.
