Man City star Sergio Aguero pens new five-year contract extension

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has committed his future with the reigning Premier League champions by signing a new five-year contract extension, keeping him at the Etihad Stadium until the summer of 2019.

The 26-year-old has been heavily linked with the Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona for some time, but Aguero has ended all speculation about his future by putting pen to paper on a new long-term deal with the Eastlands club- reported to be in the region of £150k-per-week, according to ESPN.

The Argentina international has scored 75 goals in 122 appearances since joining the club in 2011, help his side to win the Premier League last season.

Last season was incredible, but I’m not just satisfied with two Premier League titles,” the striker told City’s website

The Citizens have already extended the contracts of their star players with the likes of Vincent Kompany, Samir Nasri, Aleksandar Kolarov and David Silva ahead of the Premier League season.

Joe Hart, Edin Dzeko and James Milner are expected to be offered new contracts in the couple of weeks.
