Tottenham keen on French winger Antoine Griezmann

Tottenham are reportedly set to launch a £25m bid for Real Sociedad winger Antoine Griezmann.

Spurs are interested in securing the signature of France international, who has had a wonderful campaign at the World Cup.

The reports have suggested that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino ready to dip into the summer transfer market in order to bring a fresh talent to fill Gareth Bale’s place, who departed White Hart Lane last summer.

Tottenham have already made one bid for Griezmann, understood to be £15m, but have been told they will have to meet his buyout clause of £25m on his Real Sociedad contract.

The 23-year-old winger has an impressive season for Sociedad, scoring 20 goals in 49 appearances for his club last season.

Tottenham may face a stiff competition for his signature – as Monaco and Chelsea are also said to be interested in Griezmann’s signature – these clubs could offer higher wages and the chance to play Champions League football.

The Lilywhites have also been tracking the situation of PSV Eindhoven winger Memphis Depay in case they miss out on Griezmann.
