Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Belgium defender Toby Alderweireld from Atletico Madrid on a five year contract.

Alderweireld, who spent last season on loan at Southampton with an option to make deal permanent, but the 26-year-old has finally joined the north London club until 2020 from the Spanish giants for a fee of £11.4 million, as reported by The Guardian.
The centre-back becomes Spurs’ third summer recruit, following the arrival of FC Koln’s Kevin Wimmer and Burnley’s Kieran Trippier to White Hart Lane.
