Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made an interest to sign Schalke 04 defender Benedikt Howedes in order to strengthen their defensive areas ahead of the summer transfer window.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have the worst defence in the Premier League this season, with only four other clubs conceding more goals than the Spurs.
The report has suggested that improving their defence is a primary concern for Mauricio Pochettino, and the North Londoners are ready to launch a £13m offer for Howedes.
The 27-year-old has two years left on his current deal, which means the Spurs are monitoring the situation of the German international and they could be ready for further talks with Schalke about his signature.
Howedeshe has made juts 22 league appearances this season, without being substituted in the entire campaign.
