Report: PSG striker Edinson Cavani available for £32m?

The Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly willing to sell striker Edinson Cavani for a fee of £32 million, according to L’Equipe (via the Daily Telegraph).

The Ligue 1 champions could cash in on the Uruguay international, if they are able to secure a high-profile replacement for the 28-year-old forward, who has scored eight goals this season.

Despite scoring eight times in 14 league appearances for the French giants, it appears as manager Laurent Blanc is not convinced that Cavani can replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Meanwhile, Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal keen to add a high-profile forward to his squad next month, after failing to do so in the summer. Therefore, the Dutch manager could take an advantage of Cavani’s current situation in Paris.

With star players – Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial struggling for form this premier league season, scoring just five goals – a move to Old Trafford for Cavani would likely improve the Reds squad.

Cavani joined PSG from Napoli in 2013, and has created 10 chances for the Parisians this season.
