Arsenal lead race to sign Ibrahima Bamba

Arsenal are reportedly seem ready to try to win the race to sign Vitoria Guimaraes defensive midfielder Ibrahima Bamba.

The 20-year-old, who has a €30m buy-out clause, has established himself as a key player at the Dom Afonso Henriques stadium this season and has made 16 league appearances for the Portuguese giants.

It’s no secret the Gunners are in the market for reinforcements and appears to be closing in on an “imminent transfer” deal to land the Italian from Vitoria Guimaraes.

According to Portuguese outlet Jornal de Notícias (via Sport Witness), the Premier League leaders appear to be “on the front line” to secure the youngster’s signature and are “tightening the siege” for his transfer.

Bamba has earned plenty of plaudits with his performances from clubs all across Europe, with Paris Saint-Germain, Club Brugge, and Atalanta BC all are credited with an interest in the Italian.
