Chelsea Eye £76m Rayan Cherki Transfer from Manchester City in 2027
Fichajes Claim Blues Plotting Premier League Raid
Chelsea are reportedly preparing an ambitious move for Manchester City playmaker Rayan Cherki, with Fichajes claiming the Blues will target the France international in 2027. The 23-year-old is valued at around £76m.

Cherki’s Impressive Numbers at the Etihad
Cherki arrived from Lyon in the summer of 2025 and has registered 33 goal contributions for City, 25 of them in his first full campaign. That season ended with the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, plus a place in the PFA Team of the Year.
This term he has six goal contributions in eight City games, along with a goal and an assist in four Nations League outings for France.
Why Xabi Alonso Wants Him at Stamford Bridge
According to the report, Chelsea want to fulfil Xabi Alonso’s wish of pairing Cherki with Cole Palmer, Morgan Rogers and Joao Pedro. Alonso reportedly values his versatility for breaking down low blocks and plans to use him in a deeper playmaking role.
Chelsea are said to be comfortable financially after player sales, with talks with his camp possible from January. Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool are named as rivals.
Defensive Questions Remain
The Blues have scored over 15 goals in all competitions this season, but they have also conceded more than 20. Playing another attacker in a deeper role could expose that off-ball structure further.
Can Chelsea Realistically Land Cherki?
City rarely sell key players to direct rivals, and a £76m fee would not tempt them while Cherki keeps producing. With the story resting on a single Spanish outlet, it is worth waiting for confirmation from more established sources.
