Leeds United Eye Move for Swiss Defender Nico Elvedi
Leeds United are reportedly considering a summer move for Borussia Monchengladbach’s Nico Elvedi, with the 28-year-old Swiss international open to joining if the Whites return to the Premier League, according to Ben Jacobs (Give Me Sport).
Elvedi: A Bundesliga Veteran with Premier League Potential
Elvedi has been a rock at the back for Monchengladbach since joining from FC Zurich in 2015, making over 300 appearances for the German club. His experience, composure, and ball-playing ability make him an attractive option for Leeds, who are looking to strengthen their defence ahead of a potential Premier League return.

The 56-cap Swiss international was previously linked with a move to Elland Road last summer but was reluctant to drop down to the Championship. Now, with Leeds pushing for promotion, the defender appears more willing to consider a move.
Why Leeds Want Elvedi
The Whites are building a squad capable of staying in the Premier League long-term, and Elvedi’s top-flight experience makes him a perfect candidate. With Leeds’ defensive record needing improvement, signing a proven centre-back like Elvedi could be crucial.
However, competition for his signature remains high, with other European clubs also monitoring his situation. If Leeds can seal promotion, their chances of landing the Bundesliga veteran will significantly improve.
