With Lukasz Fabianski set to depart and question marks around depth in goal, Potter is eager to bring in competition for Alphonse Areola — and the 24-year-old Dane fits the bill.

Despite Leicester’s relegation from the Premier League, Hermansen showed flashes of brilliance last season. While the Foxes struggled defensively, Hermansen’s ability to command his box and distribute the ball effectively did not go unnoticed. He managed just one clean sheet in 28 Premier League appearances, conceding 58 goals — but that stat doesn’t reflect the poor backline in front of him.

Hermansen rose through the ranks at Brøndby IF, earning a reputation as one of Denmark’s most promising goalkeepers before making the switch to Leicester in 2023. He enjoyed a standout debut season in the Championship with 13 clean sheets in 44 games, helping the club secure promotion.
