Liverpool keeping tabs on Borussia Monchengladbach’s Kouadio Kone

Liverpool have reportedly joined the list of clubs wanting to sign Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Kouadio Kone.

The 21-year-old has attracted widespread interest from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Newcastle United.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Monchengladbach and Kone’s representatives agree that a summer transfer is more realistic than a January move.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are reportedly looking to acquire multiple midfielders with several players including Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner, and Naby Keita set to become free agents at the end of the season.

Kane is contracted to the Bundesliga outfit until 2025, meaning that he won’t be available for cheap, with previous reports suggesting that Monchengladbach are looking for a fee of at least £40m.

The Frenchman has made 14 top flight appearances for Die Fohlen so far this season, recording one goal and one assist.
