Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal: Confirmed Line-Ups as Arteta Makes Five Changes

Arsenal visit the City Ground needing three points to keep pace in the Premier League title race.

Arsenal Chase Manchester City

Manchester City beat Ipswich Town 3-2 to move five points clear, six ahead of third-placed Arsenal. Victory today would trim that gap to three.

Arteta’s Rotation After Lille

Following the 3-0 Champions League win over Lille, Mikel Arteta has rotated his side. David Raya keeps his place in goal, while Ben White replaces goalscorer Jurrien Timber at right-back. With William Saliba still out, Ezri Konsa partners Gabriel in central defence. Riccardo Calafiori returns at left-back, with Myles Lewis-Skelly dropping to the bench.

Declan Rice and Bruno Guimaraes hold the midfield, so Martin Zubimendi settles for a place among the substitutes after recovering from a knock. Martin Odegaard returns as captain for Mikel Merino, and Bukayo Saka replaces Noni Madueke. Eberechi Eze continues on the left, as Christos Tzolis remains injured. Kai Havertz leads the line, with Viktor Gyokeres making way.

Confirmed Line-Ups

Nottingham Forest: Sels; Diomande, Williams, Murillo, Domínguez, Ndoye, Delap, Schlager, Cunha, McAtee, Muñoz

Subs: Victor, Sangaré, Hudson-Odoi, Wood, Kalimuendo, Yates, Netz, Milenković, Aina

Arsenal: Raya; White, Konsa, Gabriel, Calafiori; Guimaraes, Rice; Saka, Odegaard, Eze; Havertz

Subs: Meslier, Mosquera, Timber, Gyökeres, Madueke, Merino, Zubimendi, Lewis-Skelly, Dowman

Our Opinion

Leaving Gyokeres out feels a bold call for a must-win fixture, though Havertz’s link-up play could suit Odegaard and Eze. Having Zubimendi and Merino on the bench gives Arteta plenty of options late on if the game stays tight.
