Roma target Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny?

Roma have reportedly identified Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny as a potential signing.

The 26-year-old has spent three years at the Emirates – an anniversary which he announced on social media earlier this week – and the Egyptian winger racked up a total of 80 appearances in all competitions.

However, the midfielder has been linked with a move away from the Gunners before the end of the month and according to Tuttomercatoweb, the Italian outfit AS Roma have made a move for the player.

Giallorossi are currently two points adrift of a top-four place in Serie A table, but manager Eusebio Di Francesco is keen to bolster his squad before the end of the month.

The report adds that Roma are considering a loan deal with an option to buy permanent during the summer, although the Gunners may demand a permanent transfer given their need to raise funds for new signings.
