Tottenham Eye £30m Bayern Munich Defender Kim Min-jae as Initial Talks Revealed

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Bayern Munich centre-back Kim Min-jae as a defensive target, according to TEAMtalk.

Spurs Struggling Despite Big Summer Spending

Roberto De Zerbi invested heavily in the summer after Tottenham survived relegation on the final day of last season. Jan Paul van Hecke arrived to bolster the defence, while Marcos Senesi and Andrew Robertson joined on free transfers.

Yet results have not followed. Spurs remain winless in the Premier League, sitting bottom with two points from five matches, and they were also eliminated from the Carabao Cup by Liverpool before the international break. Initial Contact Made for Kim Min-jae

TEAMtalk claims Tottenham opened preliminary discussions over the South Korean during the previous transfer window. The 29-year-old has largely been a rotation option since joining Bayern from Napoli, and Spurs hope to capitalise on that situation.

Kim is reportedly content in Munich, but Vincent Kompany’s side are said to be searching for another defender and would allow him to depart if they land one. His contract runs until 2028, and Bayern are believed to want roughly £30m.

Competition From Villa, Juventus and Milan

Tottenham are not alone in the chase. Aston Villa, Juventus and AC Milan are all reportedly keen, meaning Spurs may need to move decisively.
