Arsenal Eye January Move for Real Madrid Striker Endrick, Ahead of Man Utd and Liverpool

Arsenal Join Race for Brazilian Forward

Arsenal are reportedly weighing up a January swoop for Real Madrid striker Endrick, according to TEAMtalk. The 20-year-old is understood to be attracting interest from several Premier League clubs as his struggle for regular football in the Spanish capital continues.

Endrick’s Situation at Real Madrid

Endrick arrived at the Bernabéu from Palmeiras after impressing in Brazil, but opportunities have been limited. A loan spell at Olympique Lyonnais in January offered a chance to play regularly, and he took it, contributing to 16 goals in 21 appearances across all competitions in Ligue 1.

Despite those returns, he has again found it hard to break into Jose Mourinho’s starting XI this season. He remains a regular for the Brazilian national team, however.

Will Endrick Leave in January?

AS claim a departure in the winter window is likely, with TEAMtalk adding that his representatives plan to meet Real Madrid to discover how much game time he can expect. Arsenal made an initial approach in the summer and are said to be well placed if he becomes available. Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur also made enquiries over the details of a deal.

Valuation and Playing Style

Transfermarkt values Endrick at around £35m, though a contract running until 2030 means Madrid hold the upper hand in negotiations. A left-footed striker who can also cover the right flank, he is quick, technically assured and capable of dribbling out of tight spaces. He also packs a powerful shot and is a clinical finisher.

Our Take

Endrick’s struggles in Madrid say more about the competition ahead of him than his ability. Any of the clubs interested would be getting a player with a high ceiling at a sensible price. The real intrigue is whether Arsenal can convince him that North London offers a clearer route to the starting XI than Old Trafford or Anfield. With three Premier League rivals circling, Real Madrid will not be short of options if they decide to sell.
